I’m Mat Majer, 39, and I live in Bristol, UK.
The first thing that sparked off my interest in spirituality was the book “Life after life”. It was, however, Bhagavad gita that pushed me into a real pursuit. I spent 12 years in the Hare Krishna Movement on practicing bhakti yoga and on studying and preaching the theology of loving devotion. During that time I experienced several mystical insights which convinced me about existence of metaphysical reality. I traveled to different countries, including to India of course, translated lectures, and for some time I managed my own preaching centre.
The next step in my spiritual development was the lectures of Master Eckhart and the books of Rudolf Steiner. Through them I was introduced to Christian mysticism. I also learned Reiki and Tarot, I attended meetings at the Sufi school, and met different esoteric teachers.
Nowadays, I closely study the philosophy of Bert Hellinger along with anthroposophy of Rudolf Steiner. My meditation places are in Chalice Well in Glastonbury and Stanton Drew stone circles. I also study psychology at the Open University.
The first time I met the family constellations was in 2004. I was very surprised how it works – it was difficult to explain and it seemed to go beyond the physical reality. In 2008, I participated in the training workshop, facilitated in Spain by Bert and Sophie Hellinger. It was a life changing experience in many respects. As I didn’t know Spanish nor German, I could dive into meditation like never before and was able to fully focus on the constellation process, and I immersed myself in the spiritual field. It was when I started to walk the Path of Insight. One of the guides on this path is for me a book by Bert Hellinger, Journey to the Core.
